ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has said that there is no other option but a 15-day complete lockdown. If people survive, economic activities will also resume. An emergency meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab President Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami. Other senior professors and officials attended the meeting.

According to official figures released by the National Command and Control Center (NCOC), the total number of deaths from corona in Pakistan so far has reached 14,356 while the total number of affected people has reached 663,200. Of these, 48,566 are currently active cases.
It has been reported that the highest number of deaths due to Corona was in Punjab province where 6,319 people have lost their lives so far, 4,495 in Sindh province, 2,319 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 207 in Balochistan and 207 in the federal capital Islam. 563 people have died in Abad, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 350 in Azad Kashmir. According to the NCOC, the number of corona cases in Islamabad is 57,204, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 86,044, in Sindh province 265,158, in Punjab province 217,694, in Balochistan province 19,535, in Azad Kashmir 12,549 and In Gilgit-Baltistan, 5,016 people have been infected with Corona.
